چکیده

Following the Unlimited Sampling strategy to alleviate omnipresent dynamic range barrier, we study problem of recovering a bandlimited signal from point-wise modulo samples, aiming connect theoretical guarantees with hardware implementation considerations. Our starting point is class non-idealities that observe in prototyping an unlimited sampling based analog-to-digital converter. To address these non-idealities, provide new Fourier domain recovery algorithm. approach validated both theory and via extensive experiments on our prototype converter, providing first demonstration for data arising real hardware, current previous approaches. Advantages algorithm include it agnostic threshold can handle arbitrary folding times. We expect end-to-end realization studied this paper will pave path exploring methodology number world applications.

Sparse recovery and Fourier sampling

In the last decade a broad literature has arisen studying sparse recovery, the estimation of sparse vectors from low dimensional linear projections. Sparse recovery has a wide variety of applications such as streaming algorithms, image acquisition, and disease testing. A particularly important subclass of sparse recovery is the sparse Fourier transform, which considers the computation of a disc...

Strategic City Branding; from Theory to Practice

Cities are in search for new ways to get promoted. Regarding the fast changes in technology and the shift from local to a globalized environment, cities are forced to compete with each other in order to become an attractive tourist destination, workplace, cultural rich place and much more. City branding has been introduced as a new and creative solution to be adopted by cities to achieve suc...

A hybrid Fourier-Prony method

The discrete Fourier transform is one of the top ten algorithms of the 20-th century, frequently used in the analysis of signals. It is known to be very stable and of low computational complexity. When the bandwidth is large or the spectrum is sparse, sampling at the Shannon-Nyquist rate may however be prohibitive. We propose a new hybrid technique that exploits the spectral sparsity. Several s...

Sampling theory and practice

Sampling is a scientist’s way of collecting information, and the majority of sampling is undertaken to answer specific questions. This was not always the case. Sampling as we know it was first done in a haphazard manner and bore little relation to what we would call sampling today. The first samples taken were basically a by-product of the desire of natural historians to collect information abo...
